Suddenly Summer

The green and the yellow

excites and mellows

Crickets in the grass

playing their strings

Cardinal still louder

earnestly sings

A photic sneeze
the hum of bees

A sudden breeze
in the trees
speaks to me
through the leaves

"It is Summer, Summer at last,
